@Global Charity Ventures & Uganda Development Services
May 3, 2014
GCV is happpy to announce that a new partership with Uganda Development Services has been developed. Uganda Development Services is a UK Charity set up in 1994.
It exists to help rural Ugandans take control of their lives, to, in the words of its founder “lift themselves out of the quagmire of poverty”. Improved incomes are a basic need. This enables the provision of nutrition, education, health and other services to individuals and communities.
In 2000, the Charity established "The Kamuli Development Centre" which is an example of a hub set up for information, training and communication. The centre consists of a library, computer training, resource centre, computer repairs and a cyber café. From there UDS goes out to schools via their Book Box and Literacy projects and into communities with their Agricultural and Household Health initiatives
GCV is proud to support Uganda Development Services and its initiatives.
